Tokyo Marui M9A1 vs Raven R9-A4
So, it'll be my birthday soon and I was looking for a new pistol to buy. I already have a Samurai Edge Hi-Grade and a USP full size from TM but since I'm a huge fan of the M9 design I wanted a normal one too, but an updated model with a picatinny rail.
I'm currently undecided between the TM M9A1 and the Raven R9-A4. I know from experience that TM pistols are great, but I never owned or tried a Raven one. I just know that the R9 is considered the next best one after the Marui. The main point of attraction for me is obviously that the R9 is full metal, and metal kits for the TM are impossible to find nowadays.
The R9 is also less expensive, although the packaging is not as nice.
So these are the questions I have, if someone owns/tried both:
- How does the R9 fare in terms of durability? Also is it easy to find replacement parts? (I live in Europe)
- How is the accuracy compared to the TM?
- Can the R9 work efficiently with low pressure a144 gas? If not, I'll have to also buy a more powerful gas along with the pistol since I only have a few cans of a144.
Keep in mind it won't be used in a game, it's just for collection/target practice in the backyard with friends and family. Although, I still want something durable.
