So I went for the H&M / Stella Mccartney drop this 7th.
Usual H&M drop, woke up early and arrived to an already small line in front. Of course, it had drama on the line over people leaving the line and not getting the first group bracelets. (womp womp I guess).
So we entered. I really wanted the small tote and the charm. Thought on the big tote, but 150 EUR felt super pricy (and thank god I didn't buy it). I was at the end of the line, and when I heard the first 7 people talking only about the bags, I thought I was cooked.
They allowed us in. I grabbed some clothes, and when I looked to where the tote canva bags where, I saw 1 of the guys from this group already with one bag in hands and asking if the friend wanted the last one. He was not grabbing it, and I decided to go full animal and just run for it. I saw the fear in his eyes, but I managed to get my hands on the specific bag I wanted.
The bag charm I managed to find inside the box, so I grabbed it to. Super happy to proceed with payment, only to realize both 2 items where 100 EUR.
Came home and got a bit dissapointed with 2 things: the inside was made in a rather "unique" way, and the strap had some bit losen threads, but for an 80 EUR bag, I accepted and removed those threads myself. I have the pictures so you guys can also check it.
The outisde of the bag is amazingly built. Sadly it's PU leather, but I went to check before going through the drop war that Stella Mccartney only uses fake leather and charges you 800 EUR for it, I felt this would be the only way to own a Stella Mccartney piece.
The charm is super cute. So far my favourite piece from my purchases.
I got curious and went to check the scalpers, and this is what got me shocked. 370 FREAKING EUROS FOR A 80 EUR BAG IS WILD, AND HAVING 2 OFFERS????
My hope is that, if someone is with FOMO please listen to me. At the end of the day, it's an H&M quality bag. It is not worth it more than 50 bucks in my POV.
If you're still with the FOMO, I managed to find the original design on Farfetch and even on the Stella Mccartney website, and the price when you compare it to the scalpers... IT'S LITERALLY THE SAME.
So, if you're a hardcore Stella stan, or you're just with FOMO... I would shoot for the one from Farfetch. You're paying for Stella quality, not H&M and well... I think it's a bigger flex.
