Question about Language for Research Proposal
Hi, I'm applying for MEXT in Canada to do a master's in intercultural communication/translation and interpretation. I know the research proposal form says:
"This sheet must be typewritten or written in block letters. If possible, please write in Japanese.
記入はタイプ又は楷書によるものとする。相当の日本語能力を有する者は日本語により記入すること。"
In anyone's experience or opinion, does it make a large difference if it is in Japanese vs. English? I have N1 and at the moment I am writing it in Japanese, but I also have never really written a proper research paper in Japanese before so I'm wondering if doing it English would be better? Alternatively, does anyone know if it's alright to use English AND Japanese? Like write the research background in Japanese for example and then the rest in English?
