Hi all!

I’m going to buy my first gaming laptop in a long time this month. My previous one was a bulky HP, and the GPU was still just called a GeForce without any letters after that.

That was in high school. After that I’ve owned consoles, and bought a Steam Deck, because gaming and being a father is hard to combine sometimes. (Can’t really play Resident Evil on the big screen when the kids are around).

But there’s some more time now, and some budget. And I really missed gaming, and the Deck showed me that.

So, sorry for the long story, but I’ve settled on basically one of two choices:

- the Legion 5, Ryzen 7, 16gb, rtx 5060 with 512 gb SSD and an 1200p IPS screen

Or

- Legion 5, Ryzen 7, 16gb, 5060, but with 1TB ssd and 1600p OLED.

Is the OLED model worth the premium?

Hi all!

I have a 2015 Pro (core i5, 16gb ram, retina screen).

Haven’t touched it in some time, but I was wondering if it’s worth fixing and if that’s even doable.

Issues:

- battery won’t keep a charge for more than 5 minutes

- touchpad doesn’t work

That’s basically it, when plugged in and using a mouse it technically functions fine. I mean, its ’era appropriate’ so it’s not exactly the fastest kid on the block. But it does work.
