hello good people
I'm trying to find an old pre 90s nature or insect documentary, specifically there was a scene where a (what I remember) is a Tortoise Beetle walking on a leaf, and a bunch of ants swarm it and are trying to attack it, but the beetle huddles down in defense.
The ants fail to attack it, and the beetle gets up after a while and continue on walking.
The whole scene is without narration, and the music is corresponding to what's happening, while the beetle is walking the music plays some soft/happy plucking or piano, then when the ants attack it switches to a nightmare-ish keyboard or drone.
The walk/defense cycle is repeated several times and each time the beetle survives due it's huddling defence successfully, although some time you'd think the ants are almost successful in getting under the beetle.
If it helps I recall that there was also a scene of a Bombardier Beetle, also without narration and with droney-80s/70s music on it.
We had it at home on a VHS tape, around 1996-ish but I recall it being much older due the music choice and the recording quality.
Thank you.
