I have a Garmin Instinct 3 Tactical AMOLED that I started wearing last year. I haven’t been working out in the past few years and I got the smartwatch as a way to keep myself on my toes about moving more and just being more active. I’m not a big gym guy, I mainly go for walks and hikes and use the watch to track sleep and steps and activity overall, and the watch is great for all that as far as I can tell. It’s fun to sign up for challenges and set weekly or monthly goals for myself as a way to keep me motivated and more aware of my activity.

My issue is that I am also a guy who likes watches and have a few in my collection that I never get to wear anymore. I also work at an law firm and the Garmin doesn’t go very well with business attire, but I always feel like if I’m not wearing it, I’m missing out on tracking my activity, steps, body battery or whatever goal I’m working on.

I’ve been thinking of making the switch to the ring so I can continue to track sleep, steps and activities without giving up wearing the watch I want when I want.

I know it sounds a little vain, but oh well.

I’d like to hear from those who’ve been in similar situations or that have simply switched from a Smartwatch to Oura, and how did that work for you, the pros, cons, etc.
