Prius XSE 2024 (canada) HEV, 12v trouble
My trouble started last winter with my 12v battery and last month, July, i went to the dealer because my 12v was basically dead and i was somehow able to drive to the dealer with no brake power (which is a sign battery is dead).
I got my battery changed under warranty and this Sunday, again already i had to use my jump starter to start my car…
I’ve read online that it was common with Prius if you have a dashcam hot wired but when i went to the dealer they said the dashcam wasn’t the issue but that the replace the battery and everything is good…
Beside the 12v battery trouble, the Prius is a really good car but just because of this issue im thinking when my lease is over, im gonna return it and go back to fully gas…
Is there something the dealer missed or is it really my hot wired dashcam? If it is the dashcam, i have no issue just having it remove.
