Baseline alignement for track day
Hello everyone, I recently bought an old Nissan Micra Cup car from the Canadian Nissan series to transition from sim racing to real-life track driving. The car still has the stock engine and transmission, along with a Nismo S-Tune suspension kit, 205/50R15 Nankang CR-S tires, a built-in roll cage, 5-point harnesses, etc.
This weekend I’m going to Calabogie Motorsports Park, and I was wondering what would be a good baseline alignment setup to start with.
After doing some research for a front-wheel-drive car, I found recommendations ranging from:
- Front: -3.0° to -3.4° camber, 0.5 mm toe out
- Rear: -1.7° to -1.9° camber, 2 mm toe in
- Caster: OEM spec
Can anyone tell me if this setup sounds too aggressive for a beginner track driver? Thank you.
