Any Indian using Medium membership plan?? How good is it?

I'm confused about whether the Medium membership is actually worth paying !
Does membership help with reach, or is it mainly for reading paywalled articles?
I'd love to hear from people who've actually used Medium especially students or beginner writers. Was it worth the investment?
