Sweet Cherry Trees Losing Leaves and Spots/Fungus

I have 3 sweet cherry trees that were planted last year as 5’ bare root from Stark’s. Last year the same thing happened where they lost leaves early and the leaves were discolored and spotted.

This year one of them has Stinkhorn mushrooms growing around the base and is rapidly dropping leaves.

What can I do to save these? I had to put wire mesh around them and barb the top to fend off a groundhog that was munching on the leaves and new shoots in the spring. Just want these to live and grow to shade my patio area and provide some fruit someday when they mature…

Treehouse Brewing Say Thank Ya

Was fortunate to acquire some Treehouse beers which frequently stamps DT quotes on the bottom of cans, and I was not disappointed!!
