I’m debating wether or not 80 dollars and all my extra time is worth it rn, I’ve always been creatively driven but I’m in a tight spot right now and it’s hard debating if a 8 month long, deep and allegorical, passion project is worth it when I could do other things . Especially if it gets 0 recognition

I understand the concept of doing it for yourself but I’m scared of loosing this time for something that has no value outside of the tight circle where it flourishes

I was how I could make a possible parallel version of this story but more religion based then supernatural using rpgmaker

The main concept of the game stems around how human nature is irredeemably flawed and unchanging, however the desire to resist and change this notion is still human nature. I also wanted themes of cyclicallity, philosophy, and an unwavering brutal and desolate feeling throughout

The three main playable characters represent different philosophies with the first group presenting a sort of dogmatism that they will be able to save the world based on their belief alone (other ones haven’t really been fully fleshed out yet)

All main characters share an intertwined goal of reaching this angel that’s located, let’s say in the middle of Europe. This will connect their story’s together and change certain points In gameplay based on your actions.

Basically gameplay would revolve around your journey to the angel, fighting whatever godly horrors that have plagued the surroundings, I was also thinking of adding a one in game long week clock to force you to complete the run and not just explore, maybe based on the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse

Pretty young and new to thinking about more deep concepts in games but i recently played fear and hunger 2 and was inspired. If you are more curious about it just comment
