Do you notice no one explains why they find the exam easier or harder than Study Hall? Here is my explanation after taking the exam.

The PMI wants project governance and servant leadership FIRST. Then follow the mindset. I cannot stress this enough. I feel like the governance portion isn’t talked about enough it’s just framed as “mindset”.

But now onto the post.

Study hall questions are so convoluted, confusing, noisy, I quite often said to myself “wtf is the problem”

Study hall answers are majority textbook and the “right answer” not necessarily the “best answer”.

The exam. Here is where people don’t explain the difference.

The questions on the exam - it was so clear what the problem was. Sure a few had some extra noise. But nothing insane like study hall was.

The answers on the exam - ah here is why people find it hard. Guess what kids. The easy questions - yep those answers are clear and one answer will stick out like a sore thumb. The rest of the questions? Yeah you will always have 2 responses and there will be ambiguity. What’s worse - they’re not always textbook and both seem wrong. So you have to pick the best answer. This was my experience for majority of the exam “picking the best answer”

This is where that whole “mindset” thing comes in. You literally have to go through the motions and say am I supposed to govern? Am I supposed to be a servant leader?

And to be honest, MR’s mindset videos are good - but it’s not enough. I found his coaching introductory - his latest video posted in 2026 is pretty bad, he himself got an answer wrong and didn’t even properly explain why the correct answer was correct based on mindset - he was actually wrong.

Here is what I used to pass AT/AT/AT on my first attempt because I refused to pay a second time. It’s a cash grab it’s so expensive.

DM’s 110 drag and drop is the best summary for all the topics you should know and a great refresher the WEEK before your exam.

AR - this is all the foundation knowledge you need. His course and his 250 questions on YouTube are a very good starting point.

Study Hall - the 🐐. This will teach you time management, exam endurance and help you see where you are. I did EVERY question. Yes. All 4 full exams, all mini exams, and all the starter questions.

Gemini - when you take study hall full exam #1. Take all your wrong questions , answers along with the correct answer and plug it into Gemini asking it where your mindset is compared to where the PMI wants it to be. This helped me so much it’s not even funny.

Study fatigue is REAL. the week before the exam, I didn’t do questions, I didn’t open SH. I watched DMs 110 drag and drop and memorized the formulas. THAT IS IT. I exercised, slept and recharged for the exam. The night before the exam I went for a long walk, got myself an ice cream took a shower and went to bed. You need to be rested for the exam!!!

I watched a few episodes and it was a decent program - didn’t go back to keep watching. Suresh is a good storyteller and definitely has always showcased a lot of small businesses. I think he’s just not as relevant anymore unfortunately- influencers have just changed the scene so much.
