Ferris and Owen (rant)

They were always meant to be doomed, I think it’s intentional that Ferris never breaks up with Owen (atleast for now). It’s clear the Ferris doesn’t want to be with him, but the comfort he offers is literally irreplaceable. Reminder that this is the first time we’ve seen him in an actual relationship in the comic atleast. he’s had his love interests ripped away from him twice now and I really don’t blame him for staying with Owen.

I’d also like to remark that neither Owen or Ferris are in the wrong here, it’s just a matter of circumstance. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a dramatic arc where Ferris ends up cheating on Owen and being happier.

Also how did people think the whole relationship was a bit? Not trying to be rude I’m just genuinely curious.

Ferris is getting punched in the gut repeatedly and I feel so bad for him

ok so I read through the entirety of the comic (5/13/26) and oh my goodness the amount of losses I’ve seen one guy take is immeasurable. The whole screening arc was really just a giant mess because in the span of a single afternoon Ferris confesses his love to Leo, sees he has a boyfriend, then presumably not even an hour later has to sit NEXT to the person who turned him down and watch his film about romance which is so fucked. I’m fairly sure the reason Ferris is still staying with Owen is because it’s his only source of comfort left in his life and he doesn’t want to give that up yet. we also lost rocky and June and that was also pretty sad but also pretty reasonable

Personal Hot Take (or maybe not)

The game isn’t “made for distractors” it’s simply that people have no idea how to play dandy’s world without distractors, ME included!
