Favorite Marvel Zombies Expansions?

I didn’t see anything really posted on this since the game has been out for a while. If someone’s getting into the game, what expansions do you think are “must-haves” if any? How would you rank the different expansions and why, and are there any individual characters that do something really unique to look out for?

Thanks!

If you bought Marvel Zombicide at the board game yard sale yesterday check your box!

This is a bit of a long shot, but I bought the X-Men box of Marvel Zombicide at the board game yard sale yesterday. When I got home and checked the components I realized I only had the cardboard and rules, but no minis. So it looks like the person who owned them previously meant for everything to be sold together, but the vendor didn’t realize it and accidentally sold parts of the game to multiple people.

They refunded the purchase without asking for it back, so no concerns there- mistakes happen. But if I can find the other person affected (I’m assuming they have minis but no rules) we can probably swap components and essentially each get a free game out of this mistake.

Weird question: missing minis

TLDR: I accidentally bought all(?) the cardboard for Marvel Zombies + expansions from an LGS, but didn’t get any minis. I’m not sure what to do.

So I went to a local board game “yard sale” today and saw Marvel Zombies: X-Men Resistance for a good price from a local store. The price pushed me over the edge- I asked the seller if everything was in the box. He said it should be, but to let them know if there were any issues. He also mentioned the other set had been there, but it must have sold. I noticed the box was crazy heavy.

Tonight when I checked I got…quite the shock.

I open the box to find twelve player boards, six green and six blue. And two rule books. And a TON of game boards. And all the cards sleeved perfectly, with 3d printed inserts and upgraded components. And cards for models that shouldn’t be in that box. Like…maybe every character from the kickstarter? If not, close to it. And…not a mini in sight.

So I’m pretty sure whoever sold the collection to them sold them as a single set, with the minis in one box and the cardboard in the other, but the store didn’t realize it. I called the store shortly before they closed, and they’re going to pass my info on to the owner tomorrow morning. I’m hoping the other person will realize they can’t play the game and either return the box or be open to splitting the stuff in half. Assuming they paid what I did (even double what I did…) half the stuff would be a screaming deal.

If that doesn’t happen…I’m not sure what to do. I’m confident the store will give me a refund. But at the same time, I’ve got so much stuff that would be expensive to buy, but it’s kind of worthless without the models. Is there any good way to get proxy minis or anything? I’m open to creative solutions. Basically I got the cardboard for probably $300-$500 worth of stuff, but it’s kind of worthless because I don’t have the models.

Matthew and Luke’s revisions to Mark

It is my understanding that many critical biblical scholars believe that the gospel authors may have disagreed in fundamental ways about who Jesus was and what he came to do, and we can see some of this in ways Matthew and Luke changed Mark’s gospel.

Is this more or less accurate, or am I overstating the case? If this is accurate, can you share examples where the Gospel authors seem to have disagreed with each other, and written their gospels accordingly? Any links or reading suggestions are also appreciated.
