I'm an undergrad heading to IISc for a summer research internship in early June (2 months) and I'm trying to figure out the accommodation situation around campus.

For those who've done internships at IISc or lived in the area — what's the best way to find a decent PG near campus? Malleshwaram, Mathikere, Sadashivanagar all seem close but I have no idea what the ground reality is like.

Ideally I'd want a single or double room, somewhere in the ₹5k–10k range all-inclusive. The big thing for me is the environment — would really prefer a no-drinking/no-smoking place, ideally with other students or researchers as neighbours/roommates.

Any leads, personal experiences, or even DMs would be super helpful. A bit lost trying to figure this out from outside the city! 🙏

Roommate preference: If double, strongly prefer the roommate to be an IISc student, intern, or researcher. Otherwise, looking for a strictly no-drinking, no-smoking PG — just want a clean, focused living environment.

Nice to have: Wi-Fi, laundry access, clean washroom, food options nearby.
