Del-SFO When will the B777-300s be changed/upgraded?
Curious if anyone here has a better understanding of when this sector will see new planes/upgraded planes?
I fly this route 6+ times a year, and the business cabin is garbage, and am considering switching to a different airline. I am shocked that AI is still operating such broken down planes on this sector.
Flights are operating at minimal load, with half of business or more empty, and 1/3rd of economy empty.
I am also surprised that many other sectors (eg MEL, Toronto) are getting upgraded aircrafts before the SFO sector. The ex-delta 777-200 flights into SFO were a magnet for long-distance business travelers, given the non stop service & good aircrafts. Business ran full most of the time, and AI was able to charge significant prices. The 777-300s are avoided by every business traveler I know, and the audience is only old parents flying to visit their children, booking discounted tickets.
