TL DR: How screwed am I to get a full anatomy scan at 25 weeks? I already had an early anatomy scan at 16 weeks and brief anatomy scan at 19 weeks.

I had a false positive flag for Trisomy 13 on my NIPT. I had to go to MFM at 16 weeks for an early anatomy scan, and when all seemed clear I thought they told me I could go to my regular OB or MFM for my anatomy scan. I preferred to go to my regular OB because children are not allowed at the MFM office and it created a lot of stress for me to find childcare for my toddler.

When I went to my regular OB for an anatomy scan, they told me MFM actually recommended an anatomy scan and fetal echocardiogram. I was not aware of this. I was going to travel for a few weeks, so they still did a mini anatomy scan on me at 19 weeks just to check if baby was alright, and all seemed clear with structures, heart, etc. The ultrasound tech and OB seemed super confident all was well. However, they said I really have to go back to MFM for the full anatomy and echocardiogram since MFM recommended it.

I called MFM and the only time that’s available is when I’m 25 weeks (I am 22 weeks now). The only other option is driving two hours to their other office location for an appointment a week earlier. I plan to call weekly in case they have a cancellation. Any reassurance that I’m not completely screwed, or should I be panicking? 😥
