Hello, I recently bought this vintage rimowa off of facebook marketplace for €50 and was wondering if anyone had some information to help me identify it.
I believe it is from around the 50s, and that it is a special edition of some sort as the four front corners are painted red, matching with the red Rimowa logo under the handle. The holes in the bottom have been drilled by the previous owner to attach it to a roof rack.
It’s 83x45x29cm (32”x18”x11.5”) and weighs about 7kgs.
I was also wondering if anyone had some tips for restoring it, as the aluminum appears to be coated with some kind of layer which has now either worn off or yellowed.
