A month ago, my Trunk Plus Verde purchased in June 2025 was dented on a transcontinental flight with Eva Air and I posted about it in this sub.

As several of you recommended, I reported the damage to the airline and they replied quickly and were very accommodating. Here's the response:

"We have received your RIMOWA serial number and purchase information. Since your stay in Taipeh too short, we are unable to repair your suitcase locally. Therefore, we will transfer your case to our Munich station for further handling. In the meantime, you can contact our staff at Munich station for follow-up assistance after you return. Alternatively, you may choose to have it repaired at an authorized RIMOWA service center yourself and keep the receipt for reimbursement."

I ended up traveling with the dented suitcase for the remainder of the multi-city trip and took it to the Munich store upon return. The RIMOWA staff checked the dent and found a tear, making it impossible to repair. They instantly offered a replacement trunk. Unfortunately, my beloved Verde color was a limited edition, so I went with the closest color Green.

Still a bit sad about only having had the Verde for a year, but pleased with the airline and Rimowa services.

One of my most commented pictures features my rimowas and it has to be the most interesting thing ever. I have a theory that most of these people also don’t own rimowas😂 Regardless, it’s an interesting observation and one I wouldn’t expect guys to comment on.

Thought this was funny and figured some might get a laugh out of it.

Bei meinem geliebten Rimowa Piloten Koffer (16 J.) ist oben der Griff gebrochen.

Also machte ich online einen Termin, sende die Bilder mit und setze mich an nem Freitag 2,5 Std. ins Auto, um den Termin in Düsseldorf wahrzunehmen.

Dort angekommen teilt man mir mit, dass die den Griff nicht mehr haben. Es gab wohl vor Jahren einen anderen Hersteller der Griffe mit einem Patent für den Griff und mit den Hersteller arbeite Rimowa nicht mehr zusammen. Auf meine Frage, was das jetzt bedeute bekam ich die Antwort: da können wir nichts machen, aber wir haben das Nachfolgemodell hier und ich könnte einen neuen kaufen 😂
Ja nee, is klar! Der neue Koffer ist kleiner und ma eben 1.250€ aufn Tisch legen ohne alle anderen Möglichkeiten auszuloten ist keine Option.
Bin dann nach 30 Minuten Ernüchterung wieder 2,5 Std. nach Hause gefahren.

Also wende ich mich heute an euch!
Jetzt die Frage: wer kann mir helfen?
Ich suche das Ersatzteil. Entweder nur den Griff oben oder den gesamten Teleskopgriff.

Am liebsten würde ich denen den Koffer inkl. Ersatzteil wieder auf den Tisch legen und sagen: mach feddich.

There is a little hole next to the dent. Any ideas or will it only get worse?

I acquired this bag recently. I was hoping to figure out the exact model and size. I reached out to Rimowa and they were not able to tell me anything other than it’s authentic and compare it to “trunk s”. Any ideas?

Had this for a while but never posted it here. Still one of my favorite RIMOWA collabs. Thought you guys might appreciate it.

It looks amazing in person. And I think the clementine orange tag and wheels give it a nice pop. This is gorgeous. (Hope it holds up.)
