15 dollars out the door!
Found this lamp at our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore with no price tag and was able to get it for $15. Didn’t know what it was at first, but the old New York studio sticker on the bottom caught my eye, luckily haha.
A few days later I got looking at it again and notice “Orrefors” stamped into the nickle plate at the top. After a little bit of research, I decided to take the base apart and when I did, I found “Orrefors RD 2052” etched into the crystal.
Turns out it appears to be a vintage Orrefors crystal lamp from the late 60s/70s associated with Carl Fagerlund. Before this I knew nothing about crystal, and I think it’s fair to say that I don’t know much more now, but I do in fact know a little bit more haha. At least enough to keep my eyes open!
