Down in Scrumdiddlies today and they’re now doing the whole “optional tip” thing at the till.(yes I know tipping is optional)

Grand in fairness, optional is optional… except they’ve set up four preset tip options starting at 8%. Eight percent. On fucking overpriced ice cream.

No issues tipping 10-15% for a sit-down restaurant with full table service — Scrumdiddlies is a dessert counter so this is
Just something to be aware of next time you’re in. That little screen will be staring you down while the queue builds up behind you 😅 No one’s forcing you, but… you know how it is.
