I just got this Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro V online from Guitar Center. I knew it was a display model and figured it had been hanging from a wall somewhere so I expected scuffing. Overall, the guitar seems in really good shape, except where it was hanging. I can't tell if the headstock has been broken off and repaired, or if it just has some finish melting from hanging on those rubber hangers in the store. I've attached some pics.

  1. Do you think it has been repaired or is it just finish blemish?
  2. They knocked off $700 and I bought it to play it, not collect it. Do you think it's worth keeping? Or should I send it back and see if I'll luck out and get a better one?

I already asked if they have any new, unopened ones and the only ones they'd come down that far on the price were the display models. So I could exchange it for another display model, but there's a chance it would be in worse shape than this one. Pics include some with a flash so you can see the damage more clearly, and some in natural light so you can see better what it looks like without such close scrutiny.
