I’ve been going back and forth on which Hydroconquest colour to choose, and honestly harder than I expected with all the great options.
For context, I already own a Seiko SPB143 and a Seiko SSK003. Both have strong sentimental value for me, so they will staying in the collection.
The one I keep coming back to is the black dial + blue bezel “Cookie Monster”. I can get it at 15% off retail, and I’m thinking of picking up the H‑link bracelet later on.
I visited an AD, but unfortunately they didn’t have the Cookie Monster in stock to try on. The only Hydroconquest I could try was the black dial / black bezel in 42mm, so the photos I have are of that version.
Based on that, I’d really appreciate some input:
- Does the 42mm look too big, or can I pull it off?
- For those who’ve tried both, would you recommend 42mm or 39mm for this model?
