My stomach has been unpredictable lately. I was feeling my stomach heavy 20min ago but now all of a sudden I am very hungry. I’m supposed to take mirtazapine but if I eat before sleeping, my stomach doesn’t handle it very well. Is there any problem to take mirtazapine with an empty stomach? Did any of you have any issues?

I need to start taking mirtazapine, but was busy till late. Now it’s 11pm and I have a doctors appointment early (I need to wake up at 7:30). Is it a bad idea to take it now and wake up early? It’s my first time and I have no issues sleeping, starting on 15mg. I won’t be driving, I have someone to take me. I’m worried I won’t be able to function or feel confused/sedated. After the appointment I can go back home and rest/sleep for as long as needed.
