Can someone please explain the rotations to me? My understanding is that they occur for the climbers to acclimatize. How many rotations are there?

Also, why do many climbers spend 4 weeks (or more?) at base camp.

So many questions! Yes, Google is a thing, I know. I’m going to watch some documentaries today as it’s my last day of PTO before going back to work!
