Thinking about relocating to Minneapolis from Kansas City

Originally from Chicago, moved to KC a couple of years ago for remote work. Have had a good time in KC but I think im ready to return to a bigger city. Chicago COL has skyrocketed since I left so would was naturally considering the twin cities instead. I am a 30yr old gay man who works in Logistics - any suggestions on neighborhoods / places I should check out? Would ideally not want to be glued to my car all of the time to run errands or go places

Is there any hope for this Art Deco masterpiece at Westport / Main?

Read about the comic book store on the first floor moving out several months ago due to horrible conditions but haven’t heard much else since

Besides Joe’s and Q39, what is your favorite KC BBQ in 2026?

Hosting some friends from out of town this weekend, and I’m torn on where to take them - they’ve had both Joe’s & Q39, and they did like Joe’s more. I think I’ve narrowed it down to Wolfpack, Chef J, or Scott’s Kitchen, but curious to hear ppl’s opinions

What’s going on with my Karl Forester grass? Just planted in April :(

This is in the front of my house (I face west), and this wall behind the grass is a south-facing wall. These get full sun. I try to water a couple times a week with the soaker hose, for an hour each time. Im in Missouri fyi

West Plaza had some serious winds last night, I’ve never seen tree damage like this since I’ve lived here

Cmon Tongy you’ve got this!!!

Classic summertime “derecho” style thunderstorm complex headed toward KC late - after 1am. Hopefully it’ll run out of gas a bit by the time it gets here. There have been some insane wind reports from this out in central KS (90mph +)!!

Phyiscal Therapy for Scoliosis near the Plaza?

Been going to a good chiropractor for a couple of years, but after taking x-rays recently, it appears my curve has gotten slightly worse over the last two years. As a result, he recommended PT, but he doesn’t know anyone in my part of KC.

Would appreciate recs, thank you!

Been trying to find a decent 1-2 bedroom unit at $1500/month or less, somewhere in midtown off of the streetcar line, but have kept coming up empty handed. Ive had two places literally within grasp but someone else put a deposit down before I was able to both times! Ive never seen the KC rental market be this competitive - what is going on?
