Shopping Spree!
I've target shopped in the past with limited success and never really stuck it out till I found something decent. Decided to spend a few hours shopping Anya - looking for 3/20 gloves and/or Jewelers armor of the Whale. A bit of FRW so you cut the time walking from portal to Anya (a split second saved x 1000 runs adds up), then TK the portal to reset.
In around 3ish hours, I found the following:
Gloves
- 90 sets of gloves with 20 IAS on them, 22 of them with a secondary mod.
- Two pairs of gloves rolled 3/20 (P&M and B&Xbow unfortunately)
Armor
- 86 armors rolled the Whale suffix, 26 of which also rolled a prefix.
- One rolled Jewelers and Whale (4os/85 Life Ancient Armor)
- Four other armors had either 3 or 4 sockets and a life roll on them, but not 4os/80+ life combined (like Artisans of the Whale, or Jewelers of the Squid for example). None worth keeping though.
Additional
- As all of these target items are visually cued (red armors and the goldish green gloves showing life and IAS respectively), each inventory check goes quick. I'd also check the goldish green armors when they popped up (same colour as the IAS gloves) as these are FHR armors. I found one 3os/24FHR armor, but was just Light Plate.
Shopping Anya is good as she sells Ancient Armor and Light Plate, and her armors have a chance of being the upgraded versions. This gives you a chance of finding a 3os/80 life Mage Plate (level 30 requirements), or a 4os/100 life Archon Plate. Gheed is easy to shop too with the cow portal, but his armors don't upgrade the tiers.
Amazon Music no longer has complete albums?
Was listening to Ritual today and got to The Veil and it just stops. Shows The Veil, Evocation, and Solar Goddess no long are available...
Same goes for a majority of MFPT.
Anyone know what's up? Anywhere else they're hosted to listen in Atmos?
Upgrading to a newer MT09 SP?
I've rode my 2016 FZ09 since 2019, and have put on over 50k kms on it. It was my first bike, and I have made it MY bike. I am illogically emotionally attached to it - way too many memories on it.
I've done a LOT to it to make it better, but that said, it is not perfect and I'm toying with "upgrading" to something newer. It's got K-Tech fork internals and a K-Tech rear shock. This really did help remove the bounciness, but it is stiff now for sure.. Brembo RCS19 master, braided lines, my preferred bars, steering damper, good quality 520 conversion, full Akra system with a Vcyclenut tune. It is a fantastic bike.
The handling though is not what I'd consider "inspiring" still. Suspension goes a long way, but the geometry is not helping and I'm still left feeling that the front is vague unless you're fuckin sending it, braking deep into the apex to try and force more weight onto the front. This is sketchy though on the street. Dropping the forks a little helped, but it's still not confidence inspiring. It feels skatey..
I've got an RSV4 as well, and THAT bike knows how to take a corner. It is by far the best bike I've ever rode, and I'm just left wanting more from my daily FZ09...
To those who may have been in a similar situation, how much better is a newer SP with Ohlins compared to a first gen with K-Tech suspension? I'm looking at a 2022 MT09 SP (not new new), but the geometry had shifted a lot at that point already and got more weight over the front. I've rode a 2024 MT10 SP, and the Ohlins on that felt very, very good - could feel the front end and could feel the load on the front tire.
I know I would miss this first gen and probably regret selling it, but I'm not quite enjoying it as much as I once did (likely thanks to that pesky RSV4 entering my life and making everything else feel a little bland).
Sorry for the long post. It's not an easy decision for me..
I know each colossal ancient can drop two versions of the new jewel. But is it truly 50/50 and solely based on who you kill last?
Obviously totally my anecdotal experience, but I've noticed something that's happened to me. Could be RNG, but perhaps not..
I was targeting finding the new physical jewel, so killing Korlic last. I did this 9 times in a row, and each and every time he dropped a cold version. I killed Talic first, then Madawc, then Korlic. Every time in the same order, 9 times, 9 cold jewels...
Then yesterday I ran them again. This time on a hunch killing Madawc first, then Talic, then Korlic. Physical jewel this time (finally).
Obviously just my experience, but is this just RNG doing its thing? Has anyone else tried tracking the order you kill the first two ancients and what the resulting end jewel you get is?
