Package wrongly forwarded
I recently moved and set up my forwarding address. Presumably a previous resident did, too. I’ve already had a package fail to be forwarded. Annoying, but I’m working on finding solutions. My fault for not checking auto-fill.
But now I order a package from somewhere in the same county in Alabama as my new address, but after it gets delayed, I see it’s in New York (a thousand miles away). Now it’s been removed from my Informed Delivery, but package tracking for the number says it’s in New Jersey. I’m pretty sure it’s been wrongly forwarded. Or at the very least something has gone very wrong.
Editing to make it clear this new package was ordered to my correct address, and my worry is that it’s somehow being forwarded to the previous resident, since there’s no reason for a package to go to New York/New Jersey when the pickup and correct delivery address are both in the same county a thousand miles away.
