As the title suggests, I will need a guarantor starting the next academic year as I will be moving into an apartment and the option of paying in advance will no longer be available following the new laws. Does anyone know if guarantor organizations are actually legitimate. If yes, can anyone suggest some options that aren’t too expensive? I may alternatively be able to get someone I know to be my guarantor as they are a resident (but not a citizen) in England but I do not quite understand the general requirements landlords need for an individual to be my guarantor. Any clarification on the situation would be extremely helpful!
