2018 Compass Transmission PM

Car idiot here…
The automatic transmission in my 2018 Compass has been acting weird more and more frequently. The check engine light will come on, and then I can’t get the transmission to shift beyond 3rd. It’ll max out at 3,000rpm and about 33 mph. I can usually solve the problem by stopping, shifting from drive to park to reverse a few times. Then stopping and starting the engine. The check engine like will usually stay on, but I’ll be able to shift beyond 3rd. I have an OBD gizmo that is exactly no help, as it’ll give me no error codes when the CE light is on.
There’s no dip stick do the transmission, so I have no idea of the fluid status. It seems dumb to have a closed system like this, maybe I’m missing something.
Is there a way to PM my transmission fluid, or transmission itself, without potentially wrecking my car due to being an ICU nurse and not a mechanic?

What kind of pump for rainwater drip irrigation

I wanted to attach a small pump to the hose bib powerful enough to send water a total of 34-40 feet, with minimal elevation gain, if any. This is for drip irrigation on days when our water restrictions are in effect (so I don’t need a zillion PSI). I’m no plumber, so I don’t know S about F….guide me please!!!

I went up Rainier about 15 years ago with a Gregory Baltoro 65, it worked just fine. We had a Cabellas 4-season tent, and I had a Kelly -10 Sleeping bag. I had some kind of pad, JetBoil, Nalgene, and all that usual stuff. I know the technology with outdoor gear improves at lightning speed these days, and am curious if anyone has any advice on things I can upgrade from 15 years ago to shed some weight, and maybe make my adventure 1% more comfy. I'm not trying to drop another $8k on a fully updated system. But maybe some advice on if I should get a newer sleeping bag, sleeping pad, some light speed headlamp that weighs nothing, etc...I'm 15 years older and fatter than I was in those days, but my skills are still sharp....which I why I suppose my buddies 18 yo daughter wants he and I to escort her to the top of Rainier....Thanks everyone!!!

This stupid door…the screws on the dampener pulled out from the door. Now the screws won’t bite, and larger sheet metal screws just make the hole bigger and do the same. Same story with this top hinge.

Should I just burn my house down?

I can’t post pictures for whatever reason…

I’d like to refinish this 1980’s stair case a darker more walnut color. I’m a nurse, so this is slightly outside my wheelhouse.
