Notice how Salieri's Man of Honor outfit has a similar color scheme to his late-game outfit from Mafia Definitive Edition?

Notice how Salieri's Man of Honor outfit has a similar color scheme to his late-game outfit from Mafia Definitive Edition?

They are different ofc. One has a red vest, no tie and a red pocket thingy. But both has the "blue and red" color scheme where the suit is blue with red extras.

4K MTOC DE Cover art without watermark. I tried my best to photoshop different pieces to make this. May not be perfect

I liked the new mechanic with companions during stealth for Man of Honor... only thing is that they needed to fix the AI lol

Fun Fact: In one of Salieri's jobs in Free Ride, the one where Enzo gets towed, the driver is a low poly Leo Galante

Aside from the 3 goofballs (Vox, Alastor & Lucifer). + Sir Pentious. Carmilla Carmine is my (5th) favorite character

Very weird way to put it in the caption ik

She was one of the characters I found most interesting upon my first watch when I saw Season 1 a year after it was released. I like her voice, thighs, design, her role in hell and overall she is a pretty decent character that I enjoy everytime she is on screen. While she was barely in Season 2 (significent downgrade of screentime compared to Season 1) she still filled her role well enough that the writers didnt completely sideline her.

For Season 3, I hope she gets a few more songs and continues having her character arc. Hopefully there will be some interactions/dialogues between her and her daughters, that is like one of the main things I dislike is that I completely understand and agree with her motive (Whatever it takes to keep her daughters safe), they need to interact and have some dialogue so it feels more impactful.

Did anyone else think Tommy & Sarah's relationship was handled better than Enzo & Isabella's writing-wise? (Yapping session)

MAFIA THE OLD COUNTRY

I would not say that Enzo and Isabella's love story is "bad". Its just very mid because its so misshandled in many ways.

You mean to tell me that Isabella falls in love with some stinky Carusu who is shoveling horse shit, and she finds him interesting because he won a horse race? What about all the other Torrisi Family members she already knew who are pretty chill and can show themself to be quiet handy. Such as Gaspere, the guy who takes care of the Torrisi stables. He has a good friendship with Isabella and looks to be similar age, but why not fall in love with him? She rather have some stinky carusu horse shit shoveler. There is also her name day moment, where Isabella looks at the crowd. Why is she specifically choosing to smile and look surprised when seeing Enzo? She barely knows the guy, why not do this smile to someone you know. Gaspere? Valentina? Luca? Cesare? Torrisi?

This is more of a story issue but the story does wanna portray it as a "love story" when their dynamic feels so repetitive. I get they dont see each other often, but their love story feels so forced and they always talk about the same things. Even their first kiss feels so forced.

There is also the fact that Torrisi does play a role in this love story as he is the father of Isabella and he disapproves of the relationship (as we get to know in the final chapter)
But... there is no actual dynamic between Torrisi and Isabella, then dont even interact. Only a hug and Torrisi saying 1 dialogue to her that is nothing valid. So his "actual" role in the relationship is just that they are keeping it from him. It would have worked if, Isabella actually interacted with other characters in this game except for Enzo most of the time.

There is also Gennaro who just appears once and never again, its like they wanted to set him up for further moments in the story but they never do. The story rather focus on his father (The Baron) in the mafia-aspect of the story. And not the son in the love-aspect of the story, which is a huge flaw when the game has a major "love story" going on as promoted and talked about.

There is also Tino, the game failed him so bad as what they wanted to do with him. He apparently is someone who "watches Isabella like a hawk" as she says in Chapter 4, only for him to do it in 1 cutscene.... thats optional. Tino and Isabella fuckall has any dynamic nor interactions until the very finale chapter, and other then that. They have a (optional) cutscene together, where this "Tino watches like a hawk" is in play. And mind you, Tino watches Enzo more like a "hawk" than he does with Isabella based on what we see. So the entire "Watches Isabella like a hawk" dialogue moment is literally pointless, and then Tino being Isabella's boss fight is just "Oh hey Tino exists and this would be cool when playing as Isabella"

So there is the writing aspect and Isabella's dynamic with other characters that fails their love story, because the game forces it a lot and just undermines other characters.

MAFIA DEFINITIVE EDITION

Mafia 1 OG it was extremely underdeveloped but still okay-handled. But thanks to the remake we got a much better and depthful story to Tommy X Sarah.

What Mafia 1 remake does right is that it does not force it (Technically you can say because it happens within a span of a chapter) but what the game dosent do, is turning Sarah into a extremely major character who gets an arc with the game turning into a love story. THEIR Love story is actually handled so well with being a little thing happening behind the scenes.

It makes sense as to why Sarah would be interested in Tommy. He just won a race, he is handsome suit-wearing man and not a stinky Carusu wearing shit clothes. And they first interaction is just them talking, congratulating Tommy on the win (with a hint of some romance) but its not overly done like Isabella just being really sweet on Enzo despite what he is (stinky caru-) Its also safe to say that these two already know each other for years (tho never shown but there is time skips) so it makes sense that Sarah would end up being interested in Tommy as she knows who he is. And not just a random stinky caru-

The "Sarah" chapter is basically done really well. Because there is actually a reason for them to be together here. While in M:TOC its more "Hey Enzo drive Isabella for me" or "Look out for her". I actually dont mind it here because it does make sense for Enzo to still do simple tasks like this, Torrisi or anyone else isent just aware of the dynamic between the two. (Tino was extremely slightly but its underdeveloped). But there in M1DE.

Luigi just asks Tommy to walk her home because there has been punks near her place lately who has been creeping her out. And I think how this works better is that Luigi trusts Tommy with Sarah, and in the sense that he wouldnt mind if these two got a thing together (or because Tommy was there in the bar and nobody else + Tommy is tuff) but like, Luigi could have told this to Paulie or Sam or other mafiosos. So it seems he chose Tommy for this, likely because he imagine they could be a thing as I said. The difference with this in MTOC is that, how observative Torrisi, Tino & Luca are meant to be, they could have realized that Enzo might have a thing for Isabella and could have chosen someone else to be her driver. But it just really falls down to M:TOC's writing flaws in general.

And the walk to Sarah's apartment is done better than when Enzo and Isabella has the same talks 90% of the time, they talk about the life and the world around them. They dont directly fall into being romantic, while it is romantic. Here it does not feel forced, while we ofc know they are probably gonna be a thing, its done better where the game shows you it, without forcing it, while for M:TOC they were forcing the love story to be in action quickly.

Tommy has years to know Sarah "decently and well", other way around before Luigi decided that he trusts him with her about these guys.

Enzo has not even spent 1 day at the Villa before Isabella start taking a really unusual interest in him despite being a stinky ca-

And when the thugs are defeated, Sarah invites Tommy in to treat his wound which is a valid reason. She does give valid reasons as to why Tommy stays at her place for the night to heal his wound and being worried for him, it is that moment where Sarah reveals that she had a thing for him too (Which Tommy also likely had). So this has (off-screen) years build-up, while M:TOC does it within a span of hours and likely just a year.

Sarah after this does get sidelined a bit, but she is not the focus either. She has been established as Tommy's girlfriend and everyone knows. This mafia story stays a mafia story and not turning it into a love story. Sarah then does get her fair share of screentime with valid moments that help explore Tommy's character development & growth without pushing it too hard.

Conclusion, Tommy and Sarah is done better with a better build-up and Sarah not being turned into a major factor in the story keeping her a well established sidelined character. While Enzo and Isabella's dynamic feels forced and rushed and executed a bit weakly. I wouldnt say their dynamic is bad, just mid. But it could have been better if the writers put more thought into it.

WWII Veteran from Mafia 3

I dont exactly remember where I found it but there was some facial-animation showcase "concept art" of a few characters. One of them being this old dude, and they gave him the title of a World War 2 Veteran. So now we can call him the WWII Veteran.
