AUTO - ON - Buying new, conviction falling off 1 month, wait?
I want to buy a new car , 2026 Acura integra apec elite. I have one minor conviction for failure to obey sign falling off my record end on September 20, 2026.
Currently drive 2017 gmc terrain slt. Belair insurance, currently 1597/yr.
I was getting insurance quotes for the new car and they all seem to be very high . I understand newer is more expensive, but assuming that minor conviction is impacting my rate too.
Should I wait until after Sept 20 then call my insurance/other auto insurance to get quotes on the new car (and delay purchase)? I assume they may be like 10-15% lower after conviction falls off and run my abstract for a quote, is that correct?
Insurance quoting around 3275 right now on the new Integra, which is too high.
Will the quote/rate decrease significantly after sept 20th? What amount could I expect compared to now?
Delay purchase, or buy and delay transfer of insurance to after 20th September?
Any idea, any agents out there who can help/advise??
What are my options, and realistic amounts to expect??
