Leaving family doctor. Can kids stay?
Hey there, so my friend has a situation where her doctor consistently ignores, downplays, or straight up jokes about her medical requests, to the point that she no longer goes unless absolutely necessary. It has meant she puts off serious issues because she knows the doctor won't listen. But, she has 3 kids and is afraid to leave the practice because she assumes the kids will be removed too. Is this the case, or can she keep her kids enrolled and try to find herself a new doctor? I know she's feeling defeated and want her to have the facts. I can't find clear answers when searching online. Thank you very much!
And yes, I know she should complain, and trust me I wish she would, but she is just not that assertive, which is why she really does need to find someone who will listen.
