B-17 and P-38 builds
Does anyone else have issues with instructions not having enough structure?
My spouse and I have been playing with Lego for decades, so we do know what we're doing. That being said, we have had nothing but difficulty with their plans.
I have literally been working on the B-17 for months, maybe a year. It took ages to find all the parts, especially everything in the dark bluish-gray and not the old grey. Anyway, I finally started to put it together and the instructions are just crappy. There isn't enough structure in the different sections to hold everything together, but I didn't figure it out until I got to the end where I had to turn the ENTIRE PLANE upside down to do the bottom of the wings..! Half the top of the aircraft promptly fell off. I have tried to go back three times and put it back together following their instructions, but then I abandoned that because it is just too flimsy to stay together.
I am leaving out the crew because I've had to add crosspieces to keep the sides together. It has added a lot of weight and I may end up gluing it (which I know is a Lego cardinal sin).
I emailed them a while back and never got any kind of response. I regret buying so many of the instructions before I tried one, but that's my fault.
Just curious if anyone else has had the same issues on any of your builds?

Is "I'll Be There" any good?
My spouse loves Megadeth and I'm thinking about getting some of the lyrics to this song tattooed on my ribs:
"I'll be there for you, when you walk through the fire
I'll be there for you, when the flames get higher
When nothing fits and nothing seems right
Till the very last breath of my life, I'll be there for you
I'll be there"
I wanted to surprise him, but idk how he feels about that particular song. I'll prob end up asking him, but I wanted to get this sub's opinions on this song.
So, what do you think?
