Nobody in my country listens to Megadeth 😔

Nobody in my country listens to Megadeth 😔

I’ve noticed that at least on my Apple Music region, I am actively affecting the top charts simply due to the fact that nobody listens to Megadeth (or really any thrash) in my country with a population of 13 million. Those top songs are what I’ve been listening to lately 😭

I’m sure there is a tiny group who does listen to Megadeth and just uses Spotify or another form of media, but damn this is sad to see.

KIMBABIG playing tips

Im trying to learn killing is my business album and some tracks are hard to nail. Such as last rites, chosen ones, some parts of killing is my business. So im asking for tips to play or like which technique i need to master.

For context the riffs im struggling right now is;

Last rites: intro, main riff 1 second part where you go 8-7-5 its to fast and i havent got the rest.

Chosen ones: the part where main riff ends and lyrics go black shadows fill the sky part its fast and kinda weird maybe tabs are wrong idk. And for main riff is it really that much palm muted it sounds more bright.

Killing is my business: After the main riff that goes batshit insane every tab describes it diffrently and still for the main riff does the 6-5-4 part really palm muted or my tone is too dark for it.

TLDR; Kinda beginner trying to learn KIMABIG and asking for tips.

Tornado Of Souls played EVERY SHOW now?

I saw them in early 2020 with FFDP and my show didn't get Tornado and I remember at the time it was being rotated in and out of the setlist but for a long time now it seems to be completely permanent?

Kerry king with Megadeth.

Slayer’s Kerry King played a handful of shows with Mustaine and Megadeth.

Things could’ve been very different in some parallel world….

Best lyrics in self-titled?

Most people on this subreddit don't really like the lyrics to most of the new album's songs.

What would your favorite be if you had to choose? (bonus tracks are allowed)

How did Dave come up with such insane riffs and solos

Seriously, for someone who apparently doesn't know music theory (at least in a traditional sense) Dave sure comes up with some batsh*t crazy, counterintuitive stuff. Maybe that lack of knowledge in academic music theory is one of Dave's greatest strengths, but who knows

Take KIMB for example... not only are the instrumental parts very demanding to play, but I can't help but wonder HOW you can even come up with and build entire songs around them. The breaks, the rhythm, the riffs, the leads...

It really blows me away. Megadeth is not only technical for the sake of being technical, but it's also really unique.

Dirk celebrates 10 years in Megadeth!

Dave and the band surprised him a cake with grass on it (because Dirk is vegan lol) and then they gave him a real cake backstage at Sonic Temple today. By the end of the year Dirk will have surpassed Shawn Drover as Megadeth’s longest reigning drummer.
