AITAH for growing annoyed and tired of my wife having back to back surgeries over the course of 4 years?
As the title says. My wife has had so many surgeries since 2023 and I understand this is not her fault by any means but we cant afford her doctors saying she NEEDS surgeries. She’s had three elbow surgeries in 2023 alone. In 2024 she had went through a kidney stone surgery but the stone dissolved so it was quite literally useless operation altogether. In 2025 she had a spinal fusion (which she desperately needed) and now about two months ago she had a revision surgery for her spinal fusion which also needed to be done. Yesterday was her gallbladder surgery. I understand that most of these surgeries are all necessary but for the love of god I can’t keep affording to do this. It’s crippling us financially. I still owe $300 co-pay for my own surgery I had this year in February. On top of what other co-pays I’m still trying to get through from her surgeries.. I really dont wanna take out a loan either because my credit score is literally a joke right now. I told her that I’m tired of all these surgeries. We use to live comfortably but now I have to scrape up every penny I have. And she keeps saying that she’s just following doctors orders but these doctors don’t pay my bills, I do.
