Are UGC contracts getting more demanding, or am I only noticing it now?

I keep seeing UGC deals where the payment looks reasonable until you read what the brand actually wants.

One video somehow turns into raw footage, unlimited revisions, paid advertising, full editing rights, category exclusivity, and usage with no clear end date.

Maybe brands are simply recycling the same contract template for everyone, but $200 for a deliverable and lifetime control over that content do not feel like the same transaction.

I also think creators discuss video rates without discussing the rights attached to those videos. Two creators can both receive $300, but one is selling a single organic post while the other is unintentionally giving away years of paid usage.

Has anyone successfully pushed back on these terms without losing the deal? Which clause do you normally negotiate first, and which one makes you walk away immediately?

AITA for refusing to lend my work equipment to a coworker after she kept returning it late?

I (27F) work in an office where we're each assigned certain equipment. Mine includes a high-quality camera that I use several times a week. Other people can borrow it if they ask, and I've never had a problem sharing. One coworker, Rachel (33F), has borrowed it several times over the past few months. Every single time, she says she'll return it by the end of the day but ends up bringing it back a day or two later. I've had to track her down more than once because I needed it for my own work.I've mentioned it politely every time, and she'd always apologize and promise to be better. Nothing ever changed.Last week she asked to borrow it again for an afternoon meeting. I told her I'd rather not because I couldn't count on getting it back when she said I would. She looked surprised and said I was holding a grudge over something minor. She pointed out that she'd always returned it eventually and had never damaged it.A couple of coworkers think I should've just let her use it since she needed it for work. Others told me I was right to set a boundary after giving her multiple chances. Now things are a little awkward between us, and she's acting like I embarrassed her by saying no.I don't think refusing to lend someone my equipment after they've repeatedly ignored the agreed return time is unreasonable, but maybe I was being too rigid.
AITA?
