Disappointed

Hi! I wanted to come on here for some advice on how to become a better runner. I started running consistently in January, and I’ve been running 2x a week since then to train for a half marathon. My training block went okay, but the long runs really drained me and the most I was able to run was 9.5 miles. My half marathon did not go to plan and I went way over my estimated time, i ended up finishing in 3 hours and 26 minutes. I walked a lot during the last 3 miles because my feet hurt so bad.

I’m super disappointed about my performance and about how slow I am. I’m still very a much beginner, but I’m motivated to become better. Any tips on how to become a faster runner? Also any tips on how to not make running hurt so bad afterwards would also be greatly appreciated!
