Apartments/roommate housing

Hey! I'm interested in coming to this school in Spring 2026 but I do want to move into the area prior through attending GTCC.

My requirements:

- Has to have a guarantor program (if its an apartment complex)

- $700~ with utilities included

- One room/one bathroom per person.

- Preferably Females only

- Preferably Students only

I tried looking at Greensboro roommate Facebook groups but they seem scammy or inactive. Apartment complexes that ive looked into often don't have that guarantor option I'm looking for and currently as of now I can't make 2-3x the rent.

I plan on residing in the city, so dorms where id have to leave for breaks isn't ideal.

I also don't mind driving from another city into Greensboro (like Winston Salam or High Point).

If there is anything out there, let me know!

I am considering between these two.

About me:

Transferring out of Community College, I need two more semesters to finish my Associate Degree. Currently sitting at a 3.0 GPA but I do plan on bringing it higher after retaking two math classes (Stats and Precal) since I failed them. For the foreseeable future, I am planning college with no support from FASFA or family.

My end goal is to be a Lawyer. But I'm also interested in Education and have known people within that area at NC State

UNCG - University of North Carolina at Greensboro

Pros: Their program is less math heavy (it's a weak spot for me), cheaper tuition (about 8k), I like their college culture, they carry a policy focused type of Economics that I'm interested in. I could transfer over from my current job to their location (Restaurant).

Cons: It's far from friends/family, I have no connections there for the jobs im actually interested in.

NC State:

Pros: There are opportunities here in the County area. NC State is more publically known

Cons: Tuition is more expensive (10k), Raleigh has a higher COL than other places, I have a love/hate relationship with the campus. Their business school is math heavy. I dont want to be afraid of math however. I would have to stay an extra semester to complete more classes they ask for, transferring in Fall 2027 instead.

I feel like between the two its "this college fits my goals but can I thrive in this area" or "This doesnt quite fit me, but I know there are opportunities in this area".
