Hello fellow drivers!

Got the driving licence recently. I purchased a used car from a small-time dealer last Saturday. The seller processed the sale online via the vehicle registration service on the DVLA website while I waited. I filled in my details and paid tax via direct debit. I have received only 2 emails- first on confirmation of vehicle tax and the second on direct debit mandate. I logged into check-vehicle-tax today. The vehicle is shown as taxed but the V5C logbook is still shows the old date. Do you think there was an error? Thanks.
