Returning to BDO Made Me Realize How Bloated the Game Has Become

I’m not even a new player. I’m just returning to BDO after a two-year break, and honestly, the game feels extremely confusing to come back to.

There are way too many quests being thrown at me by the Black Spirit, and so much old or unnecessary content that the game feels bloated. Not just a little bloated — bloated to hell. I’m constantly flooded with information, acronyms, systems, daily quests, random items, and menus, and half the time I have no idea what any of it means anymore.

For example, Olvia Academy: I finished the combat portion and was told to talk to Justin to graduate, but he didn’t give me a graduation quest. I eventually figured it out, but situations like that are exactly what confuse returning players. I can’t imagine how overwhelming this must feel for someone brand new.

I do appreciate that the developers are trying to add systems to help new and returning players, but the game really needs serious streamlining. There needs to be a lot of trimming, cleanup, and removal of outdated daily quests, useless items, confusing quest clutter, and dead content. The core game is still great, but the amount of noise around it makes it harder to enjoy than it should be.
