Hi, I am trying to create a pattern for a dress like this for my little girls first birthday. I have the pattern pretty much sussed but I can’t for the life of me picture how this sort of sleeve would look laid flat. I’ve been searching ‘flutter sleeve’ but I’m not even sure that’s quite right. Any help, particularly pictorial would be much appreciated. Also any help to work out the calculations to create the arch at the top would be great as I’m more of a trial and error drafter 🥴. Thanks in advance!

Can anyone help me figure out how to solve this issue on the underside? I’m topstitching cotton canvas, using a topstitch thread but regular thread in the bobbin. The bottom keeps coming out like this even though I’ve experimented with different tensions. It only happens when I use my walking foot, but I need the walking foot to get even stitches as my machine is just about coping with the thicker material. Thanks in advance!
