Anyone else hate how the power/water grid just "pools" everything automatically? We need toggles.

Hey guys,

So I’ve been heavily optimizing my endgame base layout recently and something is really starting to bug me about how the logistics grid handles utilities.

Right now, if you have standard Fuel Cell Generators and T6 Spice-Powered Generators running simultaneously, the base just lumps everything into one massive energy pool. Same goes for water management with wind traps, dew collectors, and Deathstills.

It works fine for the early game, but at endgame, it’s a massive micromanagement headache. If I have a surplus of standard fuel cells, I want the option to use those first and completely turn off my Spice-Powered Generators so I'm not burning through precious Spice-infused fuel when my base load is low. Right now, the game just ticks down fuel across the board blindly.

I really think we need a sub-fief console upgrade or a modular "Grid Switch" building piece. Imagine being able to:

Set Priority Sources: Force the base to drain standard Fuel Cells first, and only activate Spice-power if the power draw spikes (like when running multiple refineries or shields taking hits).

Flip Manual Switches: Literally walk up to a breaker board and disconnect a specific wing of your base or a specific generator type from the main grid with a toggle.

Water Routing: Tell the base to use passive Dew/Wind Trap water for regular crafting, but hoard the Deathstill water for emergency reserves.

It would add so much depth to the endgame logistics and make base management feel way more rewarding instead of just "dump everything into a container and hope the game burns the right fuel."

How are you guys managing your fuel consumption right now? Are you just manually pulling fuel cells out of generators when you don’t need them, or is there a better workaround I'm missing? Would love to hear some ideas on how a power-grid feature could actually look if the devs ever decide to implement it.
