Weather is finally letting me get things out on the patio... although not warm enough yet to enjoy it. Hubby got me a set of lights to put around the patio...his heart was in the right place , but the string is way too long and he doesn't want me to cut it in case the next place we move has a bigger patio.

I've tucked them behind the covers but it looks atrocious..and my need for perfection won't let it go 😆 Has anyone had the same problem? How did you go about fixing it? Any suggestions are helpful.
