Downgrade my car?
Considering a car downgrade to keep myself in a good spot financially without too much sacrifice.
Currently I drive a 2024 Hyundai sonata N line with 24k miles at a 5.75 rate
$403 monthly note
I went and looked at a 2016 Honda Civic EX with 91k miles single owner all work done at dealer. Asking $14.7k at a Toyota dealer
I went in to take a look at the Civic, looks amazing! So we talked numbers.
They matched $25k offer from carmax on a trade in so no sales tax on if I traded and I have $2500 positive equity. I can throw a little more on top as well
The payment would essentially be cut in half as well as gas and insurance. Is this a smart move to do for my finances?
