PvP IVs vs Perfect IVs

Hi again. Noob here. Wondering how critical it is to have the PvP IV set (i.e. 0/15/15) when battling? I compared a few Pokemon and the difference between my almost perfect IV pokemon and the PvP was only a few points in defense. Ive been in a few matches where we both were down to slivers of HP so... worth it?

How much is each defense point worth and does it really make a difference? Im playing GL and am currently at Rank 19. Highest I've gotten so far.

I just kinda want to know if I should be actively searching for these specific IVs as I've probably thrown several viable pokemon away.

Lemon tree stunted?

My lemon tree hasn't seen any growth for a few weeks. I think I pruned the main apical stem? So wondering if it is just switching to root growth and will the main stem grow back?

Its a store bought starter plant which I've transplanted into a large pot outdoors. Seems that now the main trunk and first 2 split branches are becoming woody. There's a total of 5 branches with healthy leaves. Approx 2 ft height.
