After failing to find a suitable replacement for my ideal blank/grid alternating notebooks, I've resorted to printing and sewing my own. Happy to share here the file I created to be able to print this at the correct scale ready for binding (and trimming) if allowed
Happened to fall in love with a notebook style given out as part of a company's marketing stationary (howdens joinery) alternating pages of blank and a fine 5mm grid in a sewn card cover A6 (ish) notebook. Ideally I'd like to be able to buy a bulk/job lot as I have different ones for different applications/topics and am starting to run out of space.

I just got sent this image by a repair shop I currently have my (quite old by now) PC specialist built laptop at for a power issue (not turning on due to a safety cutout) They managed to get it started and then had a burning smell, anyone able to identify what the damage is here and what likely caused it (apart from the obvious of bypassing the cutoff) ? Any help is much appreciated. I'd like to be able to go in next time with more knowledge, and the understanding of what the current issue is before I speak to the repair shop again
