So I a booked Hyatt for 2 nights at 40k points on the old point grid and now I only need 1 night. I called my globalist concierge if I can change that. She said sure but you wud hv2 rebook at the new rate 55k. Is this true?

What if I checked in and asked the front desk when I checked in if they wud let me cancel the 2nd night(it says 1day cancellation 11:59p day before) think that wud work?
