Giving away food and furniture in QC

Hello

my father just unexpectly died this saturday in Quebec City and we are emptying his appartement. We have too much frozen meat like chicken, duck breast etc. to eat till saturday when we leave and also some furniture left. The food is vaccumed and labeled. Due to the distance (I‘m living in Switzerland and my stepmom is returning to the family in the U.S.) It is not possible to bring all the stuff especially the frozen meat.
Do you know any places or people where the food and the furniture would be apreciated and used? We already went to Salvation Army but they don’t accept anything anymore because they are closing. Ireally don‘t want all that to be thrown away. The loss is already hurting enough and thinking about throwing my dads stuff even hurts me more :/

Update: I was able to drop all the food including the frozen ones at a location where it is used. I’ll bring the furniture to another one tomorrow. Thank you all for your help!

Hey

I'm soon heading towards South America for the first time to stay in Brazil for a month and head to Nicaragua afterwards. Because of the tour and also Nicaragua I will also get plenty more beach and nature days.

I want to travel around SP and Rio for the first half of the trip and will head to the North East and Amazonas with a planned tour afterwards.

I read a lot of posts reagarding travel iternaries here and took a lot of ideas from there. I still thought it would make sense to get some feedback.

I want the trip to be a mix of cultural experience, nature and party.

Day City
1 Arrive in SP
2 Sao Paulo
14 Sao Paulo
15 Sao Paulo
16 Travel to Paraty
17 Paraty
18 Paraty
19 Paraty
20 Paraty
21 Travel to Isle de Grande
22 Isle de Grande
23 Isle de Grande
24 Travel to Rio de Janeiro
25 Rio de Janeiro
26 Rio de Janeiro
27 Rio de Janeiro

That was my plan so far but I think that Paraty might be too long and to stay just 2 full days / 3 nights there. I'm just not sure if I should stay longer in Isle de Grande, Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Sao Paulo might be nice stay one night longer to be able to leave on a Sunday to get one more night to party on a Friday and Saturday.

Any other sugesstions?
