Best Neapolitan Pizza in QC?

I've seen a lot of mentions of Pizzéria NO.900 and Nina Pizzeria, but also see a lot of negative reviews for both that the pizzas are soggy and not very flavorful. Obviously every restaurant is going to have some unhappy customers, but curious which you all prefer and think has the best quality and why or if you have another spot that you think has nailed this style pizza best in QC? Merci beaucoup!

Buy a house vs rent and invest?

Would you buy a 400k house/condo with 100k down payment or would you keep renting and investing that money in high yield ETFs like XEQT?

I genuinely can’t decide. The numbers favour renting by a very slight margin but I’m afraid if I don’t buy I will never be able to

Also I hate sitting my money collecting dust in 2% HISA since I’m afraid to buy ETFs in case I wanna buy a house in next 5 years

Hotel Stay with kids

Hi all!

We will be travelling and stopping in Quebec City on our 3 day road trip to our new home in Halifax.

This will be our first time in Quebec City and would love recommendations for a hotel that is good for kids (3 and 5) and possibly near to things we could visit briefly?

It doesn’t need to be particularly fancy, just want something quiet, clean and safe.

Thanks in advance!

Where can I find the best pizza in the city?

Me and the girlfriend are staying in Quebec City for a night, and we want some traditional Quebec pizza! I was in Trios Rivières two years ago and ordered a pizza from a small restaurant, and it was incredible. Seemed like it was a deep dish pizza with sauce, half an inch of pepperoni, and an absurd amount of cheese on top. Anywhere in Quebec City that does something similar that you guys would recommend?

Thank you!

Looking for a man for my friend

Hey, I hope you all are doing well. I have a friend that lives in Quebec city and she's having a tough time trying to find someone to do life with. The big thing of course is that she does not want children. That ship has sailed for her. She still wants to experience life and do all the fun things that come with being in a relationship. She's in the military. She's independent. She likes adventuring, exercising, trying new food, and living life to the fullest. She's been on dating sites and it seems to always come down to either wanting children or just not being intellectually stimulated enough. What other options are available in Quebec city for her to interact with people? Whether it's via a specific dating app or going somewhere specific in or near Quebec city to meet people ? Thank you for the help

Sheffield will be participating in the "Reddit Power For Ukraine 2026 Fundraising" event - June 26th to July 3rd.

Next Friday we will be teaming up with 20+ other subreddits to help raise funds for UkraineAidOps, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity run by an international group of volunteers who have been supplying Ukraine’s frontline with life‑saving equipment. Their support includes protective gear (helmets, plates, anti‑thermal suits), medical supplies, reconnaissance and heavy‑lift drones, and unmanned ground vehicles for casualty evacuation.

Since the spring of 2022, they have worked with numerous combat formations, including the legendary 82nd Air Assault Brigade and 93rd Mechanized Brigade, and have even supported the operation in Kursk.

Île d'Orléans on a Saturday in July

How crowded will it be? We're hoping for a relaxing afternoon, but I just read somewhere that traffic is horrible and it will be very crowded. Is this true? Should we skip the island? If we do go, how late are things open? Could we go in the evening?

Undivided co-ownership condos

This is a new concept to me, I've done some online research but I would appreciate if anyone with first-hand experience could chime in with information.

I understand the concept that "undivided co-ownership" means that the building was physically split into separate units, but was never legally split. So, it remains one legal unit. One property tax bill, etc.

I'm having a hard time understanding why this is worse or even that different from a "normal" condo situation. Would there not be some sort of HOA or identified person who handles the business-tasks of the building?

For example, a 6-unit undivided co-ownership building vs a 6-unit 'normal' building - what would be the main differences?

Bruit de travaux 05:00 st Roch

Bonjour,

Quebec Dinner Reservations

Hello,

My wife and I will be visiting Quebec City with our two young kids (3 years old and 1 year old) for three nights. We are staying right near the old city and we want to book our dinners ahead of time.

We are looking for incredible food - the spots that would be an absolute shame to miss out on - and itm not looking for michelin star recommendations, just really good food. We aren't worried about finding places that "actively welcome kids" (no need to suggest places just because they have chicken tenders or coloring crayons; our kids eat absolutely everything and adapt easily).

Where should we lock in right now to experience the absolute best of Quebec's food scene?

Thanks in advance!

Does this place even exist or did I make it up?

Bonjour!
Hoping someone can help me, visiting Quebec City this week after 23 years.
Came with my family when I was 13, I remember walking around a very long walking/biking trail. We came across a big wooden (almost) fort-like structure, and a big play structure for bigger kids that was SO FUN. Possibly not near each other but definitely on the same trail.
I haven’t been able to find any info googling this, wondering if it maybe doesn’t exist anymore or I entirely made it up and am misremembering.
Any hints?
Also remember going to a wonderful somewhat indoor farmers market that I’m having a hard time locating as well.

Merci beaucoup

Soap shop near Old Quebec area?

Edit: It was Chez Candeur/Savonnerie de Québec Candeur

Update: They do not have a website.

***

I went to this amazing store that sold round soaps made with real flowers. I bought a ton but want more.

It looks like the charge didn’t go through yet, so I want to: 1. Make sure I paid them; and 2. Buy more from their website, if possible.

Anyone know what store I’m talking about?

It was near the “Old Quebec” area but not quite in the old part. We walked from the Marriott (overlooking the river) to the old part and this shop was on the way.

The shop was basically just tables with various bowls with stacks of round soaps in them. The little bags were to the side of the bowls and were an extra charge. I don’t think they sold anything non-soap; if they did, it was not prominent. The shop was pretty plain inside; I don’t remember anything that stood out. Thanks.
